Official Launch of the 'Joy of Giving Week 2011'


The Joy of Giving Week is India's "Festival of Giving"! Launched in Sept 27-Oct 3, 2009, the festival is celebrated every year, in the week including Gandhi Jayanti, i.e., October 2, and brings together Indians from all walks of life, to celebrate "giving".

Events are organised by individuals, social groups, schools, colleges, NGOs, corporates, media houses and others. 1 million+ people participated in 500+ events across 40+ cities in JGW2010, raising over Rs20crores in money and resources donated, and millions of volunteer hours

The Bangalore chapter of JGW is involved in many events this year from Corporates to the Hotel sector to Education institutions, Government Institutions, Apartment complexes, NGO events, online bids etc. This year the week is celebrated from Oct 2nd to Oct 8th, 2011.

When & Where : The Launch Event will be held on August 4th, 2011 at Blue Ginger, The Taj Westend, Bangalore from 4 pm to 5.30 pm.

a.) Unveiling of the JGW 2011 logo by the Chief guests – Mr. Anshu Goonj (Founder, Goonj), Mr. V.R. Ferose (MD, SAP Labs), Mr.Sanjay Sood (GM, Taj Westend)

Its official now !

Our Network would be launched during early September 2008.

We have received overwhelming response to our plans.

Now our targets are to create a Core Committee of enthusiasts, evangelists and mentors.

And of course work with us to plan and organize the launch and future events.

We need your help to identify good innovations to support, institutions & organizations to collaborate with and events to organize. And of course sponsors to enable us to achieve our goals.

The applications are to be send in Open Document Format (.odt) or MS Word 2007 (.doc) format, and must not be more than 3 pages on A4 sheet with Times New Roman or Arial fonts (12 pts) with single spacing; paragraphs separated by a single line. No other format including .pdf files are not accepted.
English, Kannada & Hindi languages are accepted.

i) Receipt of Applications do not guarantee right of admission or assistance.
j) Acceptance and entry to the Forum doesn't guarantee any kind of assistance or funding.

Launch of Innovation Forum at Bangalore

We at Rajeev Kumar are happy to inform you we are hosting a program by DSIR during the 3rd week of July '08.

The launch of our Innovation Forum would be accompanied by a day Innovator's meet sometime between July 22nd – 26th '08 in Bangalore.

The schedule is as follows :

Day 1 : Introduction (3 hours)

Day 2 : Workshop for shortlisted applicants

Day 3 : One-to-one Counseling.

The primary objective is to identify innovations/innovators eligible for Govt. of India assistances/grants. The team is also proposing to receive applications/executive summaries for these grants during the day 1 of the program. The shortlisted applicants would then be invited for a workshop on Day2 and day 3.

I am hoping to launch an Innovator's Forum along with other like-minded Organisations and individuals.
